She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and their three children. Before becoming aware of the Black Maternal Health crisis, She consciously chose to have a Homebirth which inspired her to start Malawi’s House Birth Supply. Later, she birthed two more children in the comfort of their home.
Black Maternal Health is so important to Shayla, because she simply wants to see the Black mother and her baby live and thrive. She believes that with proper childbirth education, evidence based information, proper pre and postnatal care, postpartum support, equity standards for Black mothers, ethical practices, and ancestral traditional practices all factor in to combating the Black Maternal Health crisis in this country.

Dr. Lee Angelia Moses
Board President
I am Dr. Lee Angelia Moses, a Black African American Female Entrepreneur who resides in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a native of Columbia, South Carolina, who has always had a special love for children.
I began my humble and loving beginning at Benedict Head start in Columbia, SC. Where I worked as a teacher’s assistant for many years. I worked with a variety of different children who exhibited developmental delays and/or medical diagnosis. It was my pleasure to give love and compassion to those little souls that were so dependent upon me for that special love and support.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Child and Family Development from Benedict College in Columbia, SC., I went on to learn more about the business side of childcare thus obtaining a Master's of Art degree in Business from Webster University, in Columbia, SC. After much work in the childcare arena, I was told by a professor while obtaining my Master's that I had all of the accreditations to write a dissertation.
I made a quality decision to move to Atlanta, GA in 2004 to pursue my dreams and goal. While basking in the wonderful city of Atlanta, Ga. It was then that I made it my primal goal to pursue my PhD in Organization Management/ with a Specialization in Leadership. It took me 8 years to obtain that degree from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I went on to do great things in my perspective field and have made contact with so many individuals who have made it their business to live their dream. I possess my own Management/Consultancy Firm where my primary goal in this 21St century is to transform people and organizations, enlarge visions, clarify purposes, and make behaviors congruent with belief systems that will bring changes that are permanent and self-perpetuating. I offers a variety of services to assist business owners, parents, and individuals who are looking to WIN in every area of life. It is so; and it cannot be otherwise.
